Low-income access to Seattle farmers’ markets depends on banks

Chase bank’s involvement in low income subsidies for farmers’ market purchases in Seattle is being cut back, resulting in less access for good food for those who can’t afford farmers’ market prices.

The pressure is on profitable banks to keep farmers’ markets alive in low income neighbourhoods.
